Solutions Manager
As a Solutions Manager at Green Mountain, you are the conduit between our clients and the business team. Your top priority is to build strong and trusting relationships with our customers. This is an external customer-facing consultant and a highly experienced and proficient practitioner working with multiple customers.
The Solutions Manager is an experienced consultant and people manager, responsible for providing the most senior level of chargeable services to Green Mountain clients, ensuring the establishment of solid foundations for Solutions Engineers to build on and innovate improvements and best practices in business management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Logistics, MIS, Business, or similar discipline.
- Passion for working with various forms of structured data sets.
- Have an in-depth understanding of relational database concepts like SQL.
- The ability to quickly analyze, manipulate, process, and extract values from large sets of data.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with a customer’s executives and demonstrate strategic understanding of business needs.
- Experience designing and executing complex queries in SQL preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, data cleansing, data manipulation).
- Ability to be client focused while working effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Meets the requirements of being a leader by understanding leadership principles.
- Ability to provide complex analysis, conceptualize, design, implement and develop solutions to meet customer objectives.
Experience:
- 4+ years of Green Mountain experience or 5+ years combined experience in a client-facing role leading highly analytical projects.
- Experience in distribution and logistics required, parcel transportation, preferable.
What Will You Be Doing?
Professional Services Activities:
- Develop complex information, reports, and visualizations using a broad range of tools.
- Perform parcel network analysis & modeling to support clients’ network evaluation processes.
- Partner with client to identify cost reduction and service improvement opportunities.
- Track potential and actual customer savings from Green Mountain solutions.
- Develop and improve processes to expertly deliver spend analytics and network optimization solutions.
- Manage and develop scalable financial tools or reports that align, and simplify, monthly business reviews, annual planning, and forecasting processes.
- Support the development of continuously evolving automated models and methodologies, owning the quantitative analysis of the performance.
- Source, analyze and report quantitative data.
- Present findings and recommendations to various audiences including (but not limited to) Senior Leaders, Ops Management, Solutions Engineers, internal stakeholders, and external customers.
- Clearly communicate information and ideas to others by using appropriate communication channels and tools.
- Serve as a conduit between carrier and client for billing related issues.
- Manage projects relating to the implementation of new customers, as well as the addition of new carriers or services for those customers.
- Provide expertise to clients on the methodology, formatting, timing, and structure of data analytics and reports
- Develop and maintain dashboards that demonstrate Green Mountain’s products/capabilities.
- Establish contacts at the senior level, working with customers at a strategic level.
- Support business development in sales activities.
- Take a significant role in pre-sales activities when required.
- Identify and report additional business opportunities for consulting when conducting an existing engagement e.g., training, site reviews, further product rollouts, etc.
- Participate in speaking engagements at logistics industry conferences.
- Compose articles for industry publications.
- Lead business solution design sessions with key stakeholders to map current business processes and identify pain points and opportunities
- Possess strong verbal and written communication along with presentation skills, including the ability and confidence to develop and present to senior audiences in a customer environment
