Solutions Engineer II
Green Mountain seeks a Solutions Engineer II to connect client data with account management, build strong customer relationships, and support Solutions Managers in reporting, analytics, and consulting. Required Qualifications and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Mathematics, MIS, or a related field
- Minimum two years of experience with SQL
- Advanced knowledge of Green Mountain systems or similar platforms in Transportation or Supply Chain
- Experience with Requests for Proposals (RFP) for large shippers
- Familiarity with transportation and supply chain concepts
- Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools and data warehousing
- Expertise in parcel reporting, cost center applications, network modeling, analytics, and detailed parcel audits
- Strong command of English
- Experience using Atlassian products such as Confluence and Jira
Essential Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including mastery of complex formulas and data manipulation techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience leading customer engagements and presenting tailored solutions
- Thorough understanding of SQL queries and relational database management
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for effective client interactions
- Superior organizational skills and self-direction, with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Expertise in resolving complex system challenges using critical thinking
- Ability to present customized Green Mountain solutions aligned with client requirements
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and collaborative teamwork
- Adaptability and effectiveness in ambiguous or changing situations
Relevant Experience
- Strong proficiency in SQL query development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Minimum of two years’ experience translating customer requirements into Green Mountain solutions or comparable roles in Transportation or Supply Chain
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without formal authority
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to assess needs and develop tailored solutions using Green Mountain’s offerings.
- Manage customer report portfolios, produce detailed RFP models, and evaluate complex carrier optimization scenarios.
- Facilitate project requirement sessions, model advanced day-definite networks, and maintain expertise in Green Mountain’s operational processes and data systems.
- Deliver high-quality analysis, maintain thorough project documentation, and provide constructive peer feedback.
- Troubleshoot data issues, support colleagues, and oversee customer implementations, invoicing integration, and labeling configurations.
- Advise on Business Intelligence fields, adhere to reporting standards, and develop on-demand reports with business rules and data masking as needed.
- Generate AP upload files, ensure documentation of customer-specific business rules, and participate in allocation meetings with web-based solutions.
- Manage projects proactively updating Jira tickets, Confluence items, and guiding the team to meet deadlines.
