SEO Specialist

As an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) specialist at Green Mountain, you'll identify strategies, techniques, and tactics to increase the number of visitors to the company website and obtain a high-ranking placement in the results page of search engines. By generating more leads for the business you'll open new opportunities for driving growth and profit. This role requires a high level of creativity, technical proficiency, and project management skills to deliver high-quality work that meets business objectives and exceeds customer expectations. The SEO Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute SEO and web initiatives that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth.

What Skills Do You Need?

 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, technology or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization.
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert/proficient practitioner in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong creative thinking skills, with the ability to develop innovative and impactful campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ professional experience in marketing.
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMRush, WebTrends).
  • Expert knowledge of WordPress; working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.

What Will You Be Doing?

Professional Services Activities:
  • Develop and execute the company's SEO strategy across all digital assets, including but not limited to website updates, email marketing campaigns, social media, digital and print ads, trade show events, BI, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and execute SEO and web initiatives that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and revenue growth.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Stay up to date on the latest search and web development trends and best practices and incorporate them into the company's marketing strategy.
  • Continuously improve and optimize keyword strategy and website optimization to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Research, develop and implement data-driven SEO strategies and website improvements that align with our business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and develop creative solutions that meet those needs.
  • Serve as webmaster for the greenmt.com website ensuring the site remains up-to-date and compliant with privacy and accessibility requirements.
  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and bring innovative and fresh ideas to the table.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including web designers, technical resources, and creative partners.
Business Development:
  • Ensure that the website, content, and all SEO efforts are designed to meet the needs and preferences of our target audience.
  • Partner with the sales and account management teams to understand customer needs and preferences and incorporate them into the company's SEO strategy.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer personas and use them to inform decisions.
Customer Satisfaction
  • Collaborate with the executive team, sales team, and account management team to understand and meet the needs of target customers.
  • Ensure that marketing communications are professional, positive, and in line with the company's values and brand.
Innovation and Improvement
  • Stay up to date with the latest SEO + website trends, tools, and technologies to ensure continuous improvement in output.
  • Encourage creativity and experimentation among the team to foster innovation and generate new ideas.
  • Regularly review SEO + website processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and streamline operations.
  • Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders and customers to improve the quality and effectiveness of deliverables. 
Predictable Revenue
  • Develop and execute SEO + website strategies that are aligned with the company’s revenue targets and goals.
  • Monitor and analyze key metrics such as lead generation, conversion rates, and customer engagement to ensure marketing initiatives are driving predictable revenue.
  • Execute tests, collect, and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams to identify new business opportunities and optimize SEO and website marketing efforts to support predictable revenue growth.
